Standards Council of Canada (SCC) Accreditation

Genetrack Biolabs Inc. is an accredited testing laboratory under the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 – General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.

Description of Accredited Activities:
DNA identity and relationship testing of clinically collected (non-forensic) specimens, incorporating the following laboratory processes:

  • Sample preparation and DNA extraction
  • PCR amplification
  • Electrophoresis
  • DNA analysis and genotyping
  • Interpretation and reporting of DNA profiles

Accredited Techniques:

  1. DNA extraction, purification, amplification, and electrophoresis (PCR methodology)
  2. Interpretation of DNA profiles

Genetrack’s SCC accreditation applies only to the activities listed above and is conducted at its accredited laboratory location in Vancouver, British Columbia.
